A gas leak occurred in Yamaguchi prefecture today. As a result, fire and gas supply were suspended, and some elementary schools suffered serious damage such as evacuees, making school meals difficult. In addition, some restaurants lost 300,000 yen a day because they couldn't cook, so they canceled all group reservations. The hot spring facilities had to be closed because there was no hot water. Gas is essential to people's daily lives. My family is taking some measures in case of a big earthquake or emergency. For example, if we can't take a bath, we can use a body sheet or a dry shampoo. In case we don't run out of water, we store water to drink, and we also buy small gas cylinders and gas stoves so that we won't be able to cook. Japan is said to be one of the most earthquake-prone countries in the world. It's really important to prepare for emergencies. Of course, I don't think this is enough, so I'd like to review it again. The cause of the gas leak is unknown in detail, and the gas supplier seems to be pursuing the cause, but I hope it will be resolved soon. It's very cold these days, so people in the affected areas are praying for the fastest gas recovery to prevent the cold.

Hello. I left school early the day before yesterday because I was sick. And the next day, I was absent from school, and it was my first time taking a break since I became a university student, so I felt guilty and regretful. But my mom said that I looked very busy and tired recently, so getting some rest would be good for me, and that I hadn’t caught a cold. When I heard this, I felt that it was okay to rest once in a while, and at the same time, I was happy that my mother told me this. From now on, I want to take a rest some times and do my best. Also, I had another small trouble the other day. I was so sleepy on the train that I missed my stop and went past my station. I noticed it only when the announcement said it is the last train. I was in a hurry and felt a little embarrassed, but looking back, it was almost funny. This made me realize again how exhausted I had been without noticing it. Since then, I have been trying to go to bed earlier and take better care of my health.

Hello. These days, the cold weather has been making my mornings really difficult. No matter how early I go to bed, I still struggle to get up when my alarm goes off. The moment I open my eyes, I already feel the cold air in my room, and it makes me want to stay under my blanket forever. Winter is definitely not the best season for waking up on time. Another change in my life is that I recently decided to start a new part-time job. Until now, I had only worked at Mister Donut, but I thought it might be a good idea to try something different. Luckily, I was hired at a hamburger restaurant. I’m excited about learning a new job, especially because the atmosphere and skills are completely different from my previous workplace. I’m a little nervous about balancing two jobs with my university schedule, but I want to challenge myself and grow from the experience. Last week, I went out to eat hot pot with my friends. It was the perfect choice for this season. The warm soup, the vegetables, and the meat all tasted amazing, and we spent a long time talking and laughing. Sharing a meal like that really made me feel relaxed and helped me forget about my busy schedule for a while. Next week, I have an important presentation coming up. I’ve already started preparing, but I still feel a bit anxious. Even so, I want to do my best and deliver a presentation I can be proud of. Life feels busy, but also meaningful, and I hope I can keep moving forward step by step.
