   c. Come rain or shine - Regardless of any circumstances or conditions.

   d. Blow hot and cold - To alternate between two contrasting opinions or attitudes.
      Example: "He blows hot and cold on the idea, making it difficult to know where he stands."
   e. A ray of sunshine - Something or someone that brings happiness or hope.

Ich sitze im Garten, im warmen Halbschatten, mit einem kühlen Getränk und lasse die Seele baumeln. Die Sommerzeit ist perfekt zum Seele-baumeln-lassen, wenn man gerade nicht arbeiten muss. Die Vögel zwitschern, und die Blumen duften herrlich. Alles ist ruhig und friedlich. In solchen Momenten kann man die Sorgen vergessen und einfach nur entspannen.

„Die Seele baumeln lassen“ ist eine schöne deutsche Redewendung. Sie bedeutet, dass man sich entspannen und wohlfühlen soll. Es ist wie eine kleine Pause vom Alltag. Man macht nichts Wichtiges, sondern genießt einfach den Moment. Man kann die Seele baumeln lassen, wenn man im Garten sitzt, ein Buch liest oder einen Spaziergang macht. Es ist wichtig, solche Momente zu haben, um sich zu erholen und neue Kraft zu tanken.

Was bedeutet das Bild „Seele baumeln lassen“ genau? Das Wort „Seele“ beschreibt den inneren Teil eines Menschen. Es ist das, was man fühlt und denkt, das, was einen glücklich oder traurig macht. Die Seele ist etwas ganz Persönliches. Außerdem ist die Seele nach religiösem Glauben der körperlose Teil des Menschen, der unsterblich ist und nach dem Tode weiterlebt. Das Wort „baumeln“ bedeutet, dass etwas locker hin- und herschwingt, wie zum Beispiel eine Hängematte. このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

今日も記憶についての話をします。

朝のレッスンで、前回のPodcastで話した記憶について、トピックに出てきたので、その続きを話します。

少し前に記憶について調べていた時に、おもしろい話があったので、そのことについて話します。

前回のPodcastでは、音楽について話しました。

みなさんは記憶をふっと思い出す時、何かきっかけがありますか？

音楽もそうですよね。
昔の音楽を聴くと、その時の記憶も一緒によみがえる経験ありませんか？

個人的には高校や大学の時に1番音楽を聴いていたので、その時期の音楽を聴くと、いろんな記憶がよみがえります。

他に記憶を思い出すきっかけになるものって、みなさん、何かありますか？

2つ紹介しますね。
1つは食べ物や飲み物の味ですね。
人によると思いますが、味とともに、その時の記憶がよみがえります。

例えば、実家のハンバーグですね。実家で生活していたことを思い出しますね。おいしかったので、よく作ってもらっていました。

それから、もちですね。コーヒーショップで働いていた時、もう20年近く前の話ですが、みんなで一緒に餅つきをしたことがあります。もちを食べると必ずそのことを思い出します。

もう1つは飲み物ですが、アメリカーノですね。
コーヒーショップで働いていた時に、休憩中や、シフトを作る時などに良く飲んでいました。

ちょっと違うかもしれないですが、映画館や、ディズニーランドに行くと、キャラメルポップコーンを食べたくなります。これはクリスマスにはケンタッキーのように、広告などにうまくすりこまれてしまった記憶ですね。


2つ目は香り、匂いですね。

さっきのキャラメルの匂いも同じような感じですね。
キャラメルの匂いを嗅ぐと、映画館に行きたくなる、というのもあります。

記憶の中にあるのは、
シャンプーの香りとかですね。旅行に行った時のホテルで使ったシャンプーの香りが良かったので、それを買って、今も使っています。これは、その時の体験が良かったので、その香りのシャンプーを使うことで、それを思い出す、ということですね。

イヤな匂いも記憶として残っているので、それは特に言わないですが、そういう匂いがする場所には近寄らないようにする、とかもありますね。

前職の仕事上、コーヒの香りを大切にしていたのもあってか、いろんな香りには触れてきていないように、思います。ですが、香りは個人的な好きなので、好きな香りを探してみようと思います。



ということで、最後は少し話がそれましたが、記憶には音楽だけでなく、味や香りも影響する、という話でした。こういうきっかけのようなものを、vocabularyを増やす時に使えないかなーとか考えたりします。
