私(わたし)は大学(だいがく)で英語(えいご)を専攻(せんこう)していました。 英語が昔(むかし)から一番(いちばん)好(す)きな教科(きょうか)だったので、それ以外(いがい)の選択肢(せんたくし)が考(かんが)えられなかったからです。 これからも英語を勉強(べんきょう)して、趣味(しゅみ)や仕事(しごと)に活(い)かせるようになりたいです。 I majored in English at university. It was overcast today. I had a stomach ache this morning, but it gradually faded as Dad and I studied the science book again. We focused on sound waves, learning they travel at 340 m/s in air and 1500 m/s in water. The chapter also covered things like wavelength and amplitude, but those weren't out focus. True to form, Dad quickly turned everything into math problems – word questions about sonar and underwater distances. I struggled with those until dinner was finally ready and he then released me. At least the mental challenge seemed to distract me from my bellyache.
