Hi everyone 🌼
I’d love to get your advice on improving my speaking flow and pronunciation. My English is at an upper-intermediate level, I can hold a conversation quite well, but my pronunciation still sounds a bit “Frenglish” (a mix between French and English accent 😅).
Recently, I gave the closing remarks at an international symposium. It went well, but I realized that my speaking sounded like I was reading from a paper, even though I was really engaged and passionate about what I was saying.
Do you have any tips or exercises to sound more natural, confident, and expressive when speaking English?
Many thanks in advance 💙

How would you describe the photograph without using the word sepia, yet still convey its warm, nostalgic touch? Would the description of its color concern the tone or the hue more?
I can’t help but wonder if that’s how the thread to the word’s original meaning slowly fades—hidden like a gem, waiting for the next logophile to discover it.
Es una vieja fotografía color sepia, desteñida por el tiempo, donde, sin embargo, aún se la puede ver con claridad.

I was reading a manga, and I noticed something interesting.
Most of the characters in that manga used “〜no koto (のこと)” when they confessed their feelings,
but one girl didn’t use it , there’s no “のこと” at all.
I was wondering 🤔— does it feel different when someone confesses without saying “のこと”? Or make it non-romantic
I’m really curious — do you think that changes the feeling or nuance of her words?
Or maybe the author didn’t use it for a specific reason? 🤔
I hope he’s not trolling us again
Can somebody help me understand if that girl has romantic feelings for the boy then why didn't the author use のこと in her confession
