Hello, community! Is it accurate to say "I really like spending time with my family because they are fun and will support me IN MY DIFFICULT TIMES"? What are other variants to say "in difficult times" correctly in English? I would appreciate your help!

Hi everyone My name is Arian and I am preparing for the IELTS Academic exam aiming for Band 7 plus. I am looking for a study partner to practice speaking and writing a few times a week. I live in the UK and I am flexible with time. If you are also serious about improving send me a message and let’s start.😊

Native English speakers, please help me out I got into an argument about wether it’s ok to say “I think yes” and “I think no” in English. Here’s my opponent’s comment: (It's possible either way. Native speakers use both versions, understand each other perfectly, and so on. There's no definitive rule here. Yes, it would be a mistake when writing complex texts and official essays and in various exams, but in spoken language it doesn't matter. Even in the IELTS speaking section, both versions are accepted). Is it really so? I usually hear people say “I think so/I don’t think so”, am I wrong?
