  In some languages, the pronunciation of the letters remains constant, never changing or change very little.  Czech and Spanish are two examples.  English isn't like this.  We have long vowels short vowels and combinations of vowels.  Sometimes the pronunciation seems to change without reason.  Moreover, the speling rarely helps. Consider these three words:  food, blue, and blew - The vowel sounds are all the same, go figure.Has anybody ever looked at you after listening and asked, 'What?'  Last week, my student said through and I heard throw and was totally lost.

Agora que você já está craque em utilizar o pronome Te, vamos ao Lhe! O pronome “lhe” é usado para substituir o complemento de um verbo indireto, ou seja, um verbo que exige a preposição (a, para ) como antecedente na terceira pessoa do singular, seja ela qual for: Ele, Ela ou Você. Exemplo: Paguei a José. Quem paga, paga alguma coisa A alguém: Paguei-lhe Paguei a Bruna. Paguei-lhe Exatamente igual, não importa se o final da frase, se o complemento for masculino ou feminino. O pronome lhe serve para os dois gêneros! Mais exemplos: Eu dei um conselho para você. Querendo substituir “para você”. Eu lhe dei um conselho Nós pedimos uma ajuda a ele. Substituindo “a ele”. Nós lhe pedimos uma ajuda. Eles prometeram os céus a ela. Substituiremos “a ela”. Eles lhe prometeram os céus! É possível pluralizar: Paguei aos meus amigos. Paguei-lhes Uma pausinha para explicar a Pronúncia do Lhe: O som de L e H pronunciados juntos, nós chamamos de dígrafo - quando uma palavra tem consoantes que perdem o som próprio, formando, assim, um único som.
