In this episode, we'll practice 3 forms of the same verb in Russian. I want you to understand how these verbs work from the context. At the same time, you can listen and imitate what I say. It will help you to improve your pronunciation. Enjoy!

Below, I leave all sentences we're going to practice.

Вчера я тоже смотрел телевизор.
Я уже посмотрел этот фильм.

Я пишу письма моей бабушке.

ジャスパーさん、毎日日本語の勉強をしています。
娘さんと日本語で話せるように、毎日日本語を勉強しています。
応援しています。がんばってください。
ラヒルさんは、N3に合格できるように、毎日日本語の勉強をがんばっています。
私は、毎日日本語が上手に教えられるように、勉強しています。

ジャスパーさんは、将来日本に住みたいです。
将来、日本で家が買えるように、貯金しています。

私は、電気自動車が欲しいです。
電気自動車が買えるように、貯金しています。

電気自動車が買えるように、貯金しています。
「ように」は、将来「こうなってほしい」こと、目標（もくひょう）、期待（きたい）、希望（きぼう）を言うことができます。接続できる動詞は、可能形、無意志動詞、三人称（the third person）が主語になる動詞と接続することができます。少し難しい説明ですね。
日本が話せるように、毎日勉強します。「話せる」は可能動詞です。
無意志動詞（non-volitional verb）って何ですか。たとえば、毎日ファーストフードは体によくないです。「病気にならないように、毎日きちんと食べています」。「病気になる」のに、自分の意志（will）はありませんね。
これはどうですか。「早く風邪が治るように、家で休んでいます」。これも意志がありません。
メガネがありません。字が見えません。「字を見るように、メガネをかけます」。これはどうですか。「私が字を見る」という私の意志がありますね。「字が見えるように、メガネをかけます」
では、これはどうでしょうか。「子どもが野菜を食べるように、工夫している」これは、大丈夫です。主語は子供です。私ではありません。主語の子供は三人称（the third person）です。
わかりますか。
では、これはどうですか。「試験でいい成績を残すように、がんばります」少しおかしいですね。試験で成績を残すのは、私です。私が成績を残すんです。だから、「試験でいい成績が残せるように、がんばります」と可能形にします。
「みんなの日本語」42課に「のために」が出てきます。「ように」と「ために」を比べてみてくださいね。
例文を何度も言ってみてください。
日本語を話せるように、毎日勉強します。
家が買えるように、貯金しています。

☆Words☆
紅葉狩り（もみじがり / momijigari）：This is a yearly event for many Japanese people in Autumn. The word “Momiji” in Momiji-gari means Autumn colours, and “gari” means hunting.
Japanese people go out to parks and mountains where they can see lots of trees in their Autumn colors – yellows, oranges and reds, and simply enjoy the beautiful change of seasons from Summer to Autumn.

お花見（おはなみ / ohanami）：Ohanami is a traditional Japanese custom in spring. At a cherry blossom viewing party, people get together under cherry blossom trees and enjoy eating and drinking.

嵐山（あらしやま / arashiyama）：Arashiyama is an area in the western part of Kyoto City. The mountain named Arashiyama at an altitude of 382 meters in the western part of Kyoto City, the surrounding mountains, and the foot of the mountain are generally called Arashiyama. At the foot of Arashiyama, there are many historical temples, shrines, and historic sites, making it a famous tourist destination.

上旬（じょうじゅん / jōjun）：at the beginning of the month
中旬（ちゅうじゅん / chūjun）：in the middle of the month
下旬（げじゅん / gejyun）：at the end of the month

日光（にっこう / nikkō）：Nikko is a town located in Tochigi Prefecture. Tochigi prefecture is an inland prefecture located in the northern part of the Kanto region. Nikko has many old-style buildings, and it is registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.

新幹線（しんかんせん / shinkansen）：bullet train
