This time, we talk about how to get used to different accents and speaking speeds and motivate yourself to learn a language for work or school even if you don't want to. You'll also learn what to do if your language learning has stalled, bad habits language learners pick up when learning a language in a traditional classroom setting, reductions and linking, and how to improve your English skills by joining a movie club. Here are a couple of excerpts from our conversation: "The irony is that it's usually the words that you already know that cause the most problems." "People resent it (the English language), and I understand that because it's imposed on a lot of people, and obviously, we can't expect everyone to be excited about learning it. So I totally understand those feelings, which are valid. I think then, if you can't get excited about English, what can you get excited about? What interests you, in general?"

한국의 가을은 정말 특별해요. 하늘은 맑고 바람은 시원하게 불어옵니다. 이맘때 자주 쓰는 말 중 하나가 청명하다예요. 청명한 날씨는 하늘이 맑고 깨끗할 때 사용합니다.

가을 날씨는 낮과 밤의 기온 차이가 큰데, 아침이나 저녁에 느끼는 약간 추운 느낌을 쌀쌀하다라고 해요. 이렇게 기온이 변화하는 시기를 환절기라고 부르죠. 환절기에는 감기에 걸리기 쉬우니까 건강을 잘 챙겨야 합니다.

그리고 가을 하면 빼놓을 수 없는 것이 바로 단풍입니다. 나뭇잎이 빨갛고 노랗게 물드는 모습을 보고 많은 사람들이 단풍 구경을 하러 산으로 가죠. 단풍은 한국 가을의 대표적인 자연 현상입니다.

In psychology, a first impression is an event when one person first encounters another person and forms a mental image of that person. As much as it's natural to want others to like and accept us from the start it's important to remember that first impressions are not always correct.
