Case Endings: The Little Tails That Do the Work of English Prepositions | Spoken Malayalam #021
Описание
English puts little words in front of nouns: in the house, to Amma, from the shop, with Achan. English speakers go hunting for those little words in Malayalam and try to place them first. But Malayalam does the same job with endings, little tails stuck onto the END of the noun.
In this episode:
• The object tail: -e
• Of and to: -inte, -ude, -kku, -nu
• In, at and from: -il and -il ninnu
• With a person: -ode and -ude koode
• By means of: -aal and kondu
• How nouns change shape
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
