God bless to everyone.
A question:
How would I know the correct way to translate the following expression:
"If any man will come after me, ..."?
Because I believe that would translate it to spanish like:
"Si cualquier hombre vendrá despues de mi,..."
However that isn't the correct translation according to the book.
Thanks for help me to understand how don't confuse that expression.
The correct translation according to the book is:
"Cualquiera que quiera venir en los de mí,..."

Because the phrase is only a sentence fragment, it is impossible to say what the author intended it to mean. There are several possibilities. The use of "will" confuses me a bit. "Will" feels inappropriate to me because it expresses certainty in a situation that appears to by hypothetical. Instead, I would say either
"If any man comes after me..." or
"Should any man come after me..." or
"Whoever may follow after me..."
