Parents have an important role in our lives. Having a child is, without a doubt, a huge responsibility. Of course, there is no such thing as a perfect parent. Parents make mistakes; it's unavoidable because we're just humans. However, I believe that the finest gift parents can offer to their children is to take therapy prior to having a child in order to avoid mistakes that can be avoided. To make themselves happy individuals with good mental health first, so they can raise a happy child. If you raise a child and, say, try to build a second "you" out of them, or limit their ability to be themselves, the child will be unhappy.
