Hello dear native English speakers
Is it natural and OK to use the verb "contain" in the following sentence?
Teaching is very difficukt when a class contains both smart and slow students.
I'm not sure if we can use "a class contains"

Yes you can use contains but i think that you may have mistyped difficult. 😊

'Contains' in this context is not natural sounding English, though it is comprehensible. A better alternative that is more natural when referring to a group of people - such as a class - would be 'is made up of'; 'consists of'; 'includes'; 'comprises' or 'is comprised of'.
