Is this sentence grammatically correct? <This is like a rumor that I've heard this from like if you go to a hotel or something that you steal toilet paper.> I mean, in "that I've heard this", if we use "this" here, I feel it's not correct. And also," if you go to a hotel or something ( that) you steal toilet paper." in this sentence, why is there the word "that"? Maybe then? I heard this sentence from one talkshow. And I tried to dictate in a slow speed. I definitely hear those "this" and "that". So my question is, is the sentence above correct? Or did I hear incorrectly?

In this case, the speaker appears to have made about three attempts at starting a sentence, but never actually finished any of them. People don’t always form complete sentences when speaking spontaneously. The meaning should be apparent from the entire context. If you only want to hear complete sentences, then you might want to watch presentations such as TED Talks (although even there, there will be some spontaneous utterances).
