'In addition to this' sounds natural on its own, but I don't think it suites the sentence, as you are going from listing things to talking about the benefits. This kind of phrase works well for making a second point in an argument, adding another reason why you believe something to be worth pursuing. However, it could work if you said, "With these kinds of games children develop social skills; in addition to this, they reap the benefits of sports activities.
