The line graph compares four different tourist attractions in terms of the proportion of visitors in Scotland over a period of 30 years.
Over the period shown, the figure for festival fell slightly, while those of aquarium and castle saw a significant rise before having a decrease. In addition, there was a varying trend in the percentage of visitors coming to the zoo.
In 1980, the proportion for festival topped the graph at around 30% and it was threefold that of zoo. Meanwhile, castle and aquarium saw about 22% and 20% of tourists visiting Scotland respectively.
From 1980 onwards, there was a plummeting in the number for festival to just 18% in 2010. Also, the proportions for aquarium and castle reached peaks of 35% and 45% in 1985 and 1995 until they dropped to just under 10% and 33% correspondingly at the end of the period. By contrast, an unstable trend was seen was seen regarding the statistics of zoo, whose highest point was 20% in 2010.
