What's the meaning of "even for"? Is it equal to "espwcially for"?
The researchers cross-checked the close-work hypothesis and found that being outside drastically reduced the risk of short-sightedness, ***even for*** children that did a lot of it.
The meaning is more like "that goes even for children". I don't think "especially for" is quite the same. It's more of a surprising conclusion, but to emphasize that it's "also true even for children".
