A day within National holiday, I finally made it hiking on mountain Heng in Northern China, which took me a good five hours. The mountain looks like a massive wall, but thanks to the proper path that local authorities built, average people are allowed to arrive the peak without special outfits. There are several sights along the journey, like hundreds years old Dao temples made of wood , as well as an unexpected spring for visitors to admire. Moreover, Epigraph on some stone tablets tells stories in ancient period, which are my favorite stuff to watch. Apparently eight hundred years ago and from then on, faithful believers started to move here worshiping the deity in Heng, plus trying to avoid being involved in civil wars. Those religious people were devote and contribute themselves to a very modest lifestyle, their stories are appealing to then-kings who control the region, they lash out to construct temples, wishing their rulings were sustained by god. Unfortunately, different dynasties went rise and then fell in a row, and seeming like the deity just stand by.
I stood at the top of the mountain toward 2 P.M. among overwhelming crowds, but the views there are absolutely spectacular, everyone was taking photos. I am not good at photographing but still picking up five pictures from my phone posting here, I hope the scenery is in my memory forever.
