Hi friends, Could you please tell me these two sentences mean? Does the first one mean the tv series is so boring or something??? (exclamation mark at the end of the sentence). Does" talk about" in the second set of the sentence means "speaking of which" or is it used as an emphasis?? 1. I finished watching the season one of this TV series, but talk about boring!!!!! 2. Talk about hot ----------- I was sweating.

"Talk about boring!" means "Wow, is that boring!" or "That is incredibly boring!" "Season one" should not take the definite article, but the phrase "the first season" does. Go figure!

I agree that they are both expressed used for emphasis, but it should say “the first season” or “season one” (without the “the”). “The season one” sounds weird. I’m a native English speaker & tutor by the way. Maybe it’s a UK thing?

Hi, in the first sentence it's implied that the tv series is boring and it's same for the second sentence as well, they are used as you said as an emphasis
