HELP
If I would like to say that the rent I´m currently paying for a house is expensive, could I say (is it grammatically correct) the following ?
- I find the rent high or - I find the rent to be high
To me, it sounds a bit off/ not natural. Is there another way you can say that in a more natural way ?
Another thing. For instance, is it correct to use the verb ¨occupy¨ in this context.
- I would like to request permission to see if I can get another student to join us and occupy the extra bedroom

I would suggest:
The rent seems really high to me.
I think the rent is too high.
Can we add another roommate?
He/she/they could stay in the extra bedroom.
