Hi,
“Humility” is the noun. “Humble” is an adjective about how you think about your status below other people. If you are humble you make yourself seem lower than others. “Modest” is an adjective about how you think about your status beside other people —you are trying not to take up too much space alongside them.

Humility, humble, and modest are very similar in meaning.
Humility is the noun form of the adjective humble, while modesty is the noun form of the adjective modest. Modest can be used to describe someone who doesn’t overestimate their achievements or abilities, but also can mean moderate or small for amounts. For example, “he drank a modest amount of alcohol.” Humble is very similar, meaning having a “modest” or low estimate of your own importance/pride. Perhaps an antonym would be “arrogant.”

In my understanding, humility and humbleness are similar. Humble sometimes has the sense of feeling shame.
