Today I received three legendary books to learn English: Destination B1, B2 and C1&C2. They were expensive, so I will study hard to justify the time and money I spent.
"Receive". Every school child in my country learns this rhyme:
"i" before "e", except after "c", or when sounding like "a" as in "neighbor" and "weigh".
"Legendary" is a strong word. Very few books can be said to be "legendary", but it's not wrong.
I changed "have received" and "have spent" to simple past. You can do it either way, but I prefer simple past because you are mentioning simple things that happened, not experiences: "you received and you spent".
Here's an example where "have spent" would be better:
"I bought many books. Unfortunately, I now realize that I have spent all my money."
"Have spent" works better because you are talking about the present (i NOW realize). The Present Perfect is actually a tool for talking about the present, more than the past, and this can be confusing.
