Hi Adam, You posted here a good question, and four fine posible answers. I think that the best option depends, as you put it in option two and three, on every student and on focus. In reference with options one and four the same rule can work find for different students and circumstances. In my opinion, a good relationship between student and teacher is the only way to find the best option in every moment. Cheers!
