She uses her first and last name (pronounced with no tones).

Canadian English speakers have no problem pronouncing or remembering her name.

And her first name Wei sounds nice, and in my opinion weiwei sounds nice too.

Some Chinese names are difficult for English speakers to pronounce or remember, but weiwei or simply wei is easy to pronounce and remember.

I don't think you need to change your nice name.

Unlike in China, the meaning of names has almost no significance for most Westerners. We choose names because we like the sound or the look of them, because they are fashionable or unusual, or because they have personal, family or cultural associations for us.

Bear in mind that you <em></em>don't <em>have to</em> have an English name. People from Japan, Russia, Egypt and Mexico don't rename themselves when they learn English, and there is no reason why a Chinese person should do this. There is nothing wrong with being called 'Weiwei'. It's clear and pronounceable, and would fit easily into any English sentence. If you want to call yourself 'Wendy', for example, you can, but there's no need to.

I think I understand why you do it, and honestly, even despite my name does not mean much in Russian, sometimes it hurts to hear how hard is it for foreigners.

And yes, there is no much meanings in European names, well, with the exceptions of names from the popular movies. I bet if you name yourself Daenerys or Khaleesi you'd get a lot of attention. :-)
