I think doing something interested  helps me a lot, such as watching English movies, listening English songs.

There is a saying in China, Interesting Is The Best Teacher.

mm.. maybe you can ask your students to do their "hobbies" by using English like reading about Fashion or sport in English instead of

their native language or watch English movies or interviews for their favorite celebrities with translation but still can lestin the pronuncation 

That exactly what Idid at my teenage to learn English:)

I am going to talk about my experience, and how I improved my english. I used to read news; different topics like fashion, health, ..etc. and talk about it with ftiends. Also, being a member in a forum that talk about something of your interests encourage you to write and share. Watching movies and listening to songs; not all songs work well as some are very fast. 

It is best to have native speaker friend to talk to (voice call) at least once a weak so you improve listening and speaking skills .

I still learn english and I hope am better, but I wanted to tell you what helped me so you can share your friends
