Within a language (say English), people have a variety of accents, some of which may be considered strong by other speakers. In this case, a person with a strong accent would not be mispronouncing a word but rather pronouncing it differently. That doesn't mean that their accent is not "right."
I see. However, not for me but maybe for you. I mean as a non-native speaker I need to be understood by native speakers and for that I have to have an accent similar to a native one. Of course, it does not matter if the native accent, which I chose to sound like it, is not the common accent in the language
