Calling all Cajun French folks! Bonjour and Hello to everyone. I'm brand new to the site and can't help but be curious as to whether or not there are other users of italki who are from Louisiana and have a Cajun French heritage like myself? My desire to speak French is in fact rooted in my cultural ties to this dialect of the language. My high school French teacher was from Ville Platte and was raised speaking Cajun French in his home. I loved when he would provide comparisons between the dialects. I'd love to hear from anyone out there who is interested in this sort of thing!
