Do men help their wives at home usually in your country?

Hi everybody...is it common that men help their wives for doing housework in your country especially when their wives work outside as well as their husbands?

how they help usually and do men consider to do part of housework as their responsibility in such situation?

In Italy, yes. But it's not considered helping, if we both live in the same house it's our reponsibility to keep it clean.

I am from Greece.

Men will say they do help all the time, and women will complain that men provide very little help, if any at all.

It is a mystery.

It is also hard to say but, maybe in Spain, many people wouldn't say men "help" their wives, they would probably say they "share" their housework, especially young men, but I'm afraid this is only a theory.

Hello Sepideh,

I agree with Katya who left her comments above.

I think Russian men are so different. While some of them are willing to help their wives in particular circumstances, others still consider this help as loss their "male nature".  I mean "still" because situation has changed during my life. My mum worked equally with my step father and had a very demanding job but he never help her (even he was a good person for sure). So, I used to be this helper:)

My husband helps me a lot without any requests from my side. The only thing I have to keep in mind  that everything should be in balance:) So, even if I'm very busy and work long hours, I cook a dinner at least on Sunday ( and it expected to be extrordinary in this case) and make a breakfast every day:).

However, I don't think that majority of Russian women take this help for granted  Russia is partly Eastern country and this reflects on our daily life.

"Is it common that men helping  their wifes for doing housework?"

"husbands must help wife's"

It's very interesting to see how questions and answers are in a discussion like this. In so many countries the women still think/like that the housework is their domain.   When my grandparents where a live (born in 1920). It was the situation. My grandfather helped my grandmother with the cleaning or the cooking. Because he was earning the money and she was doing the housework.

Now a days all women in Denmark work. That changed the question to: How do you share the housework and the time with the kids?
