What's the difference between Throw a party and Have a party, etc?

We can say...

- throw a party.

- give a party.

- have a party.

- hold a party.

I think "throw", "hold", "give" are used by a host. "have" is used by a host and invited people.

What's the correct answer? Could you please tell me about it exactly!

Thank you!

To my little understanding...to have a party is often used by the host when the party is actually for the host or groups or organizations.

Throwing a party is been used the host or hosts when the party is for someone else
