A pick-up line is something that you say to someone so that they become interested in you romantically.

One famous Russian singer told that to my friend's great grandmother when she was a schoolgirl. He was a friend of her older brother. They met and went to a cafe and when her borther went to get some ice-cream he said:
"My sweet angel! I wonder what you will say when having woken up one morning you will see my profile on your pillow next to you?".

I remember it because for those familiar with older Russian music it is really easy to recognize which singer it was.
