A recent study shows that a lot of people spend considerable time online.
Social media usage has doubled in the past couple of years. I admittedly use social media a lot and I am online most of the time. The nature of my work requires me to be online and so on a daily basis, I am online for 9 or 10 hours a day.
Being online can have negative effects on our mental and physical well being and it can cause a sedentary lifestyle and depression. And so, I promised myself to have social media detox once in a while.
How about you? How much time do you spend online? Do you feel that staying online has more advantage or disadvantages?
I only check my social media whenever I ca- I don't really have a specific number of hours for such websites like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc...
In my case it's advantageous to use social media because that's where I would get my news and I'm always updated thanks to the internet
