I love some famous singers like Ed Sheeran and Adelle but in recent years, I enjoy listening to underrated singers who are equally talented, sometimes even better than the famous ones. My favorite underrated singers are Tom Rosenthal, Lenka and Colbie Caillat. Sometimes it is not the lack of talent that made them unappealing. I think it is the lack of marketing skills. People sometimes put more value not in the song but the “persona” that the singers have. That is the reason Taylor Swift sell millions or billions of records every year. When you listen to the “famous singers”, some of them you will realize for a time, cannot even sing well-but more on perform well on stage, some even lip sync on stage.
Who is your favorite underrated singer?
If both underrated and famous singers are equal in talent, then what are famous singers doing differently that made them famous?

I always love to hear songs to unpopular people because I feel that they are keen on the artistic value of the song more than celebrities who seek to achieve high sales. I think this also has to do with luck, there’s a Lebanese singers didn’t get famous although they deserve like Marwan Mahfouz,Ghada Sheiper,Fadia Alhaj and Jordanian singer Nada Sharara

I agree with you @Florian some underrated singers are far better than the famous singers.
I notice that on YouTube when a famous song is being repeated by those amateurs. I know Rajiv Dhal is one of those singers.

@Andres I think those are backup singers. They usually hire backup singers to make the performance better. The voice of Britney is ordinary so it is easy to find someone who can do the singing for her. LOL

@ Florian K Even if The singers are not talented, I want to take as a reference to The" famous" Britney Spears
The major part of her songs were sung by a dancer who was paid to sing the Britney's songs .. even in her shows the dancer was in the backstage singing from there, OMG !

@Andres Having good marketing skills is important for anyone who wants to be a celebrity. Only a few introverted celebrities become famous for being introverted or at least they are talented and are charismatic. A big record label will choose someone who will sell because it is a business after all.
