Expressions in Spanish: "Planchar la oreja"
This is one of my favourite expressions in Spanish: <em>"planchar la oreja".</em> It's simple, descriptive, and clear. If you say "<em>Me voy a planchar la oreja</em> (literally translated: I'm going to iron the ear)", you simply mean that you're ready to go to sleep. It's a no-brainer, isn't it? (Or as we say in Spanish, at least in Spain: <em>"Es de cajón, ¿verdad?"</em>).
If Spanish is your native language, do you have a favourite descriptive expression?
If you are studying Spanish, have you learned any expression that you find particularly interesting, or even funny?
