Silly question for you: If you already live in Munich, why bother with finding people online to chat with? Especially if you're working as an au-pair?

The friendly people offering their support here mostly don't seem to speak (write) that great German in the first place.

Why don't you find a club or group that offers something you're interested in in Munich and practice with the locals?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, as I'm not fluent or advanced, but I'm an intermediate level speaker (I've finished A2 and kept on learning by myself) looking for people to practice the language with :)
