i think i have make some mistakes with " a chinese student"

i don't know how to say...

i hope you are a student whose major is chinese

and i think ,if you are a student whose majoy is chinese ,our communication will be easy.

because my english is very poor.

if you can speak more chinse ,it will be nice!!
