The best way of learning a new language is to use it more.

If you would like to learn Japanese, find a friend who speaks, watch Japanese movies or tv, listen to Japanese radios, songs.

Learning Japanese only from text books or classes does not help a lot. You will have to use (speak, read, write) it more.
