I want to become a vegan but living in France it's hard as there aren't many non meat eaters. I mean this is the country which shoves a funnel down a live goose's neck and fills it with fat.

i think the taste of meat and animal products is outweighed by the pollution and harm to the environment. I mean look at the lagoons of excrement created by factory farms. Also the meat industry is worse for the environment than the transport industry. There is much deforestation to create ground for cattle.

This is without mentioning the suffering to animals who have natural urges and behaviours they can't do. Many can't even roll around or move much. Pigs are as intelligent as dogs yet if you treated dogs that way you'd be arrested.

I don't know about the McDonalds in South Africa, but my stomach dislikes McDonalds.

At first I thought that becoming a vegan was the right thing to do.  Then I realized it would be a big missed steak.

Mimi . 1) nowadays fruit and vegetables industry is as inecological as meat one - pesticides , which are useful for mass producers , are poison for earth. 

2)These animals even wouldn't be born , if people didn't eat them. Do you think it's better for pigs and cows?

3)In some Asian countries (Korea,China etc) people eat dogs.

I like to eat meat, but McDonnalds, that is literally junk. I never eat junk food.
