I am currently preparing for CPE in 2 months. I would to find language partners for the following activities:
1. news speak out
1) read the article (for instance, articles on the recent developments in Hong Kong), prep a bullet point plan for yourself, cover the topic (in 10-15 minutes),
2) ask your partners general questions to encourge attentive listening
2. write up on the news speak out
1) write an essay on the news, covered by the partner
2) check your partner's essay

I am thinking about getting the checked essays to the CPE tutor, so that he can get some tips on writing skills.
Voc, grammar, use of english -- I am going to do a couple of major projects in these areas within the next 4 months. You are welcome to join or just use the materials (for instance, I am thining about asking a guy to export the vocabulary textsbook lists (idioms, phrasal verbs) to xl, then test myself on them, filter in the mistakes and pinpoint on them).

Hi yes, it is probably better to use the tutor for speaking practice and checking your grammar and general things. You can always get people to check your essays on italki, and you can pay for someone to check your essays too if needbe. I would start discussions on here on the topics you want as well on current affairs etc.

I am currently looking for a tutor. I have had a couple of trials. Generally feel like it'll be great to have speak out and write up group and maybe 20-30 essays checked by the tutor, but in terms of grammar, voc I guess having a tutor is not the best solutions since I have to the grunt work myself, rather than passing on the responsibilities to the tutor.
