Questions To Ask When Evaluating Your Spoken English
How do we improve our English speaking? With lots of practice. Lots of correct practice! Every piece of correct speaking practice takes us one step closer to confidence and fluency.
Great article, Hamish! When I record myself speaking a foreign language, I always feel frustrated. But I usually think of 2 positive sides: 1) is that I tend to speak better with a listener and 2) is that we do have the same problems speaking our native language (obviously not to the same extent, but still).
Anyway, recording one's own speaking is a great way to control one's weak points and notice good use of grammar and vocabulary, too.
I wish I could share this like on FB... :) I'd love for all my students to read this, and then keep these questions handy.
i did'nt completley read your article but in the future id suggest that you suggest that anyone somewhat fluent should read english novels, seeing as how this was how i developed faster than most students.
