I have never used WhatsApps to communicate with anyone within the US, but people here do use it for international messaging! SMS text messages, iMessages, and Facebook messenger are more common within the US. Some people might trust Apple more than Facebook/WhatsApp, but I don’t think that’s a big factor between the most popular options.

In the United States, people do NOT commonly use WhatsApp--unless they are communicating with friends from other countries. There is something different about the cost structure of phone calls and text message that is different. WhatsApp took off in other countries because using it saved a lot of money over using the built-in services.

No, I don't trust it. People rely too much on apps, anyway.

In Russia🇷🇺 people actively use such messagers as WhatsApp, Viber and Telegram, and those who have iPhones also use iMessage 🌝
