Thanking you is really exist in Grammar?
I saw in e-mail at work.
One of my customers said thanking you in the letter.
I'm curious about it. Is it correct? Can I use it? Just first time to see it.
Please help me to be clear
Thanks~~~

Was your customer Australian? We never say this in Britain (and I've never heard an American say it too), but I did hear it a few times when I was in Australia when I was working in a bar (they'd say "thanking you" when I served them a drink). But even in Australia it doesn't seem very common.
Probably best to avoid the phrase.
