Steps of making spring rolls ^^ Spring roll is well-known as one of the Vietnamese unique foods all over the world. Welcoming my foreign teacher on his visit to my house, I would like to surprise him by the traditional cruise in Vietnam. Although my recipe for this dish was different from what he had tasted in restaurants, I decided to check my cooking. Occasionally spring roll is made in three main steps The initial step is preparation for ingredients. Basically, we need egg, minced meat, noodles, carrot, onion and kohlrabi for dressing. First soak the noodles in warm water in 3 minutes. Then slice kohlrabi, onion and carrot into small pieces before cutting the noodles. Immediately after that, all prepared ingredients are mixed into a big bowl. To roll shaped spring roll successfully, it is necessary to have qualified rice sheets. Through my experiences, vinegar can make the rice sheets softer. Therefore, we had better add an appreciate amount of dressing only after spreading a little vinegar on the sheeting. Subsequently, fold sides in and begin rolling spring roll at the mixture side to make a nice roll. Next is frying spring roll in low heat. Previously, add a little salt right after the oil is heated to make the spring roll crisp. Immediately following, prepare some ingredients for the spring roll sauce consisting of some sliced chili, chopped garlic, boiled water, sugar, lemon solid and vinegar during two minutes. At the same time, keep an eye on spring rolls as they easily gets burned. Turn rolls frequently until cooked through and golden, about 10 minutes. After frying, put the rolls into a big bowl and decorate the dish with lettuce or flowers made by fruit to make it attention-grasping. Finally, the most difficult step is making sauce which is a vital component of a tasty dish. Traditionally, a delicious sauce contains four flavours such as sour, sweet, salty and especially, peppery. So mix all of the ingredients we prepared during frying with sauce. If you treat foreigners, add less chili as most of them find peppery flavor unbearable. It was the first time I had made the dish for a foreigner. However, I could be confident in my cooking as my teacher liked the dish and wanted to get my recipe of spring roll. Anyway, it is a fact that I contribute to popularize a Vietnamese traditional specialty.
