The Legend of The Tower of Hercules.

There are several legends about the construction of the only Roman lighthouse still in operation today. In the best known, ensures that a giant known as Geryon, king of Brigantium (Breogán), had terrified terrorized all his people (his subjects), as and they were forced to give him half of his their possessions, including their children. One day the subjects, in order to prove the futility of the giant, decided to seek help from Hercules, who challenged him in a bloody battle. Hercules defeated Geryon, buried him, and raised a tumulus that he crowned with a torch. Near this monument he founded a city and as the first person who came was a woman named Cruña, Hercules put gave the city its name, La Coruña.
