Spring
Spring came yesterday. There is a Spanish poetry poem by Antonio Machado, that and it says something like this: "Spring has come, nobody knows how it has been." ("La primavera ha venido, nadie sabe como ha sido").
This poetry poem can describe the weather of my country. Suddenly, the sun is shining and it's warming up too.
There are a lot of flowered orange trees. Orange blossom is the smell of Andalucía in spring. I really like this smell.
People go out a lot to enjoy the good weather and they return late to their homes.
We have some typical desserts in spring, like "torrijas" or "arroz con leche." A "Torrija" is a slice of fried bread with honey, cinnamon, and wine. You can eat it at during tea or coffee time.
Next week, we'll have an hour more of sun in Spain. I think we are very lucky for our climate.
