22. Street Markets
• Do you like visiting street markets?
Yes. I can buy fresh vegetables and fruits at reasonable prices, which may be much cheap than those in supermarkets.
• Do you think street markets are good for people?
Yes. especially for poor people. These places provide fresh food for them at low prices.
• Are street markets very common in your country?
Yes, Like Beijing, nearly every community there's a such market in the neighborhood.
• Do people in your country prefer to shop at a street market, or in normal shops or shopping malls?
It all depends. Young people prefer to shop at normal shops because those places are handier than street markets, whileas old people usually buy thing streets markets since things sold there might be cheaper then those in shopping malls.
• (Similar to above) What do you think are the differences between a street market and a supermarket?
A supermarket is handier but isn't as cheap as a street market. In other words, you can buy anything at anytime in a supermarket.
• Would you visit a street market in a foreign country (if you were visiting that country)?
Yes, I would. I think it would a good way to understand the local life in a foreign country.

23. Maps
• Do you (ever) use a map?
Yes. In fact, I always check a online map before I travel to a strange place in this city.

When I travel to a strange place I use a map.

I suppose it is my father who taught me how to use it when I was in primary school.

When I was a child, my father gave me a local map of my hometown and pointed important places for me, such as a railway station, schools,
• Do you prefer to use electronic maps or those made of paper?
I prefer to use electronic ones, because they are much handier than paper ones.

Yes, I have. On the first day when I came to Beijing, I asked a man for direction to Tiananmen square.
