I don't understand why people are busy but their skype's condition is online. These days using skype, I found that many people were often online, almost all day. Is it a habit? or they forget to change to offline or away or do not disturb? In China, this phenomenon also exists because the chatting application has a reward which is the longer you online, the higher level you have. The user can get some privileges from the higher level. I don't know whether skype has this priviliege or not. I am confused about that and I don't know when is the better time to chat with others. I often ask my friend if he is busy or not. Do u meet this problem?

These days using skype, Recently I have noticed found that many people were are often online, almost all day. Is it a habit, ? or do they forget to change to offline, or away or do not disturb? In China, this phenomenon also exists because the chatting application has a reward, which is the longer you are online, the higher your level you have. The user can get earn some privileges from the higher level. I don't know whether skype has this priviliege or not. I am confused about this that and I don't know when it's a good the better time to chat with others. I often ask my friend if he is busy or not. Do you meet have this problem?

It's not only about being online. In a country like Iran, people use Skype particularly instead of mobile operators calls since the price of these conversations are beyond imagination. Therefore they stay online so that they could answer the calls as fast as possible. I think Fabrizio is wrong about not being able to send offline messages in Skype, as I'm always sending offline messages!

There's no privilege to always being online with Skype. The problem is that, if you're not online, then you can't get messages from friends, contrary to WeChat and QQ that allow people to send messages even if the recipient is offline. So there's people that don't mind and just leave Skype online in the background of the smartphone. I'm one of those who are always online, but messages from friends never bother me!

I'm not sure if it's the case for everyone, but I know (especially in America), many people just leave their accounts signed in for easy and immediate use whenever. I do agree though that it can be annoying to not know if someone is actually online or not. As far as I know, I don't believe there are any added privileges to always being online for Skype. Anyways, hope this helps!
