IELTS TASK 1: Chart 38. Land degradation of the world

The pie chart bellow illustrates several causes for land degradation of the world. The table provides information about three main reasons for the decrease in productivity in three areas including North America, Europe, and Oceania in the 1990s.
According to the chart, over-grazing is the most common reason for worldwide land degradation with 35% by area, followed by deforestation with 30%. 28% of land degradation is due to over-cultivation, while the rest is due to other activities.
As can be seen in the table, among these three particular areas, Europe had the most greatest (2) degradation with 23% in the 1990s, where deforestation caused the highest effects on land with 9.8%, followed by over-cultivation with 7.7%, and over-grazing with 5.5%. Over-grazing was the main reason for degrading land in Oceania, with 11.3%. Deforestation with 1.7% was the second reason while there was no over-cultivation.
Overall, it is clear that Europe experienced more loss in proportion to other regions while deforestation resulted in more land degradation than all other causes.

(1) This sentence was too long and rambling. Splitting it into two sentences makes them each more focused and direct.

(2) Most and greatest are both superlatives, so use one or the other, not both.
