I am moving to Japan next month and I have a question Hi everyone, I am moving to Japan next month for a year to do research in Japan. I am wondering whether I should look for an apartment close to university or further away and cheaper. So if I buy a student commuting ticket, can I usually only use this to commute to university or also to travel for different reasons like on the weekends or for going into the nearby city (which is not too far away from campus)? I am very thankful if anyone could answer me those questions. Thank you so much, Kai

I wonder if I can explain well. I think the commute ticket has specific section and within it, you can use it whenever you want. I hope this was helpful and other people answer to you better than me. Good luck for everything!
