I accidentally became a teacher. Teaching English was something I thought I would never do. To my surprise, I recently started teaching two of my friends. Suddenly, my lack of interest in grammars became my biggest concern. My English teacher back in the school once said, “Even native English speakers are not sure what article to use sometimes.” Maybe it was true or something she said to comfort my anxiety, but at that moment I took a hint and never bothered learning any grammar in depth. I would always say “I recommend you to do something” and be so calm about it. Even though I am not a certified teacher (and they know it), I feel really obligated to teach them correctly. I solemnly declare in front of all English speakers that I will never say “I have a news.” or “I need a coffee.” ever again. :D It turns out I like teaching. It makes me feel so useful. Who knew?

I accidentally became a teacher.

Teaching English was something I thought I would never do. To my surprise, I recently started teaching two of my friends. However, my lack of interest in grammar became my biggest concern.

My English teacher at school once said, “Even native English speakers are not sure what article to use sometimes.” Maybe it was true, or something she said to comfort my anxiety. From that moment I took the hint and never bothered learning any grammar in depth.

I would always say calmly to my students, “I recommend you to do something”. and be so calm about it.

Even though I am not a certified teacher (and they know it), I feel really obliged to teach them correctly.
I solemnly declare in front of all English speakers that I will never say “I have a news.” or “I need a coffee.” ever again. :D

It turns out I like teaching. It makes me feel so useful. Who knew?

Yes you can say "I need a coffee" but not  "I have a news"

I know coffee in this example is uncountable but it is still ok to say it in daily usage outside the classroom :D
