The coat color varies from light gray to dark gray, with shades of brown and reddish brown.
It has a white cross on the back.
The contours of its eyes and lips are usually surrounded by white.
They have a life expectancy of 30 to 40 years but they may have a lifespan of 50 years. -
It is estimated that there is only about 300 donkeys of this breed in Provence
