DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ON AND ABOUT

When I write a text I'm get used to using either ON or ABOUT randomly however I'm afraid that I get wrong. Please, when must I use each of them and on a sentence? Many thanks in advance

It depends largely ON the context of your sentences. If you would give an example of when you are confused when to use "on" and when "about", maybe we could help you :)

No soy professor. Pero, intento. Aqui, depende del verbo. El verbo es aprender. Entonces, en ingles, aprendemos something or about something. I will learn about World War II in my history class. I want to learn calculus. I learned French in my twenties. A lo mejor la pregunta más dificil para un extrajero sea cuando usar "about" o no "about". No digas I will learn World War II, solamente "about WW2." Pero esta segunda pregunta es más dificil.
